Santa Claus, Papá Noel o San Nicolás

Hoy día de San Nicolás de Bari, les contamos la leyenda de "Santa Claus", mientras la lees podés ambientar con la música del maestro André Rieu.  Incluimos algunas ideas de decoración y regalos con los aceites esenciales que usamos y recomendamos.

Papá Noel, Santa Claus, San Nicolás, Viejito o Viejo pascuero son algunos nombres con los cuales se conoce universalmente al personaje legendario que según la cultura occidental trae regalos a los niños por Navidad la noche del 24 al 25 de diciembre.

Es un personaje que formaba parte del antiguo mito solar del solsticio de invierno al que el cristianismo inculturizó con la figura de San Nicolás de Bari.

Posteriormente, hacia 1863, adquirió la actual fisonomía de gordo barbudo bonachón con la que más se le conoce. Esto fue gracias al dibujante alemán Thomas Nast.

A mediados del siglo XIX, el Santa Claus estadounidense pasó a Inglaterra y de allí a Francia, donde se fundió con Bonhomme Noël, el origen de nuestro Papá Noel, quien tenía parecido físico con Santa Claus, pero vestía de blanco con vivos dorados.
