The King has used his Christmas message to urge the public to “protect the Earth”, saying honouring the “whole of creation” is central to religious belief.

The King, in his second annual television address, said protecting the natural world “for the sake of our children’s children” is a responsibility for people “of all faiths and none”.

The Christmas message, which referred to the Christian story of the birth of Jesus Christ, made mention of all religions and the importance of protecting the “one home which we all share”.
